Fallout - Teaser Trailer | Prime Video

The anticipation around Fallout dropping on Prime Video is palpable.

My favourite franchise of ALL time is set to make the transition from video game to PRIME VIDEO on April 12th '24 in what appears to be an epic, TODD HOWARD (In Todd we trust) lore friendly, comedic, Fallout adventure.

Is it April yet?

Fallout Franchise Medium Jump

Naughty Dog, The The Last of Us jumped medium from a highly successful PlayStation video game to an incredibly harrowing, heartfelt HBO TV Show, (A must watch) with this in mind, the epic Bethesda RPG series Fallout is about to make that same jump to Amazon Prime Video.

Fallout is an open world post-apocalyptic RPG. The year is 2077. After World War II humanity focused most of it's efforts on harnessing the power of the atom creating advanced technologies that were nothing short of unimaginable. However, this innovation sparked a century-long spike in global consumerism that caused mass resource shortages. The United States and China are on the verge of nuclear war!

Celebrating it's 25th Anniversary, Fallout is by far my favourite gaming franchise. I have spent too many hours wandering the Capital Wasteland, (Fallout 3) The Mojave, (Fallout New Vegas) The Commonwealth (Fallout 4) and most recently, Appalachia (Fallout 76) the online incarnation of the franchise. With a Next-Gen Upgrade scheduled for Fallout 4 in upcoming months, and Fallout 5 rumoured to be in some form of development at Bethesda, the future for the Fallout Franchise looks bright.

Far Cry 5: 5th Anniversary - Official Next-Gen Update Trailer

Having been laid up with Covid for the past 3 weeks, what better time for Far Cry 5: 5th Anniversary Next-Gen Update to drop. Although it was released in March 2018, players are still returning to Hope Valley and the nefarious Joseph Seed and his Doomsday Cult.
Standing shoulder to shoulder with Far Cry 3 as the best in the franchise, the Next-Gen update has added an official 60 FPS patch for PS5 and Xbox series X/S across all game modes, with fans on both console and PC able to enjoy a free play weekend 23-27 March, a whopping 80% discount from the Microsoft store, and is also available to install on Xbox Game Pass, Ubisoft has also hinted at more Far Cry announcements in the upcoming weeks.

Whether you're yet to experience the exotic locations of Far Cry or are a hardened veteran, now is the perfect time to gear up and jump into the perilous, mysterious world of Joseph Seed and his Doomsday Cult, or any other instillment of the Far Cry Franchise.

Rust Xbox Series X Review - Live. Die. Repeat!

"Conquer thirst and hunger, weather the elements, and create the tools necessary for survival. Protect yourself from hostile forces or bring the fight to them. Battle rogue scientists, wild animals, and other players to stay alive.

A game without rules Rust doesn't tell you what to do. Be prepared for player vs player combat, raiding and looting, or forge alliances with other players to overcome the obstacles you share"

Be prepared to die. A lot!

Rust runs extremely well on the Xbox Series X. Frame rates are steady, textures look great, and the lighting gives an authentic atmosphere.

Spawning into one of Rusts limited servers with up to 99 other players is a challenge in itself. Equipped with only a rock for harvesting materials and ore, better equipped players have trapped the spawn zones with wooden spikes, and await to loot your dead corpse once a small amount of wood and ore have been mined. A near naked, rock wielding noob making easy prey for gun totting, armour wearing allied veteran. Add to the mix spawn zones that are over-run with wild boar, and bears... I think you see where this is going - You die. A lot! However, Rust is engaging, and enjoyable once a stone base has been established, and projectile weapons researched, but remain vigilant, other players will exploit any weakness within your base, and raid your cold corpse given half the chance.

Having played Rust for the last 24 hours I'm unsure I will return to the game in it's current state - whilst private serves are unavailable for console. For noobs, without alliances Rust can be frustrating and repetitive.

LIVE. DIE. REPEAT!
